DENISE had to say...horses and puppies and goats! Oh my! I hardly have time to read keeping busy with all around here: November of 2007, I opened a new tack store with a partner; my daughter is in her final year of high school and last year of competitive riding as a junior, and the animals... four dogs: one stray whom we've had for 10 yrs now, two rescues dogs, and a Scottie pup that we are temprarily keeping for my dad; 3 stray cats; assorted chickens; five horses of varying sizes and ages; and a smattering (like 25) of pygmy goats. Well, over this spring I've had some time to catch up with my reading: I was diagnosed with breast cancer 8 months ago, and have undergone 8 rounds of chemo in 5 months, a mastectomy, and still looking forward to radiation!!! I'm doing great now, but thank God for PBS for those weeks I was sick on the couch! ANYWAY, I enjoy a good cozy (why can't we be like all those heroines?) as well as the bestsellers. Brit lit is fun. Recently doing some nonfiction as well. Love Rita Mae Brown, Janet Evanovich, etc. Books are even better when they include animals as the characters! I'll read dang near anything with "Horse," "dog", or "cat" in the title! Happy reading and GO GET YOUR MAMMOGRAM! |
